About the Class
Have fun learning dances from all around the globe while cultivating community and overall mental and physical fitness. Addresses balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, rhythm, movement patterns, world cultures and history, and collaborating with others.
Gentle movement, designed for active older adults, all welcome, TBI-friendly.
Instruction for true beginner dancers!
Chairs are available for dance variations and for resting as needed.
Free to all (non-members and members). Hosted by the YMCA and funded by The Dignity Fund, SF Department of Disability & Aging Services.
Preparation
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.
Wear comfortable shoes that stay attached to your feet. No flip-flops, sandals, heels.
Bring water, or be sure to drink before and after class.
Masks recommended.
Wash hands before and after class.
