About the Class
Perfect for calming the mind and body in preparation for a peaceful evening. Gentle, TBI-friendly.
A complete yoga class including a warm-up, poses/asana, yoga nidra/relaxation, breathing, and meditation. Nidra means sleep in Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga.
Attending the whole class brings the greatest benefits; however, if needed, please join us for only the portions of the class that suit your needs and schedule. If not taking the whole class, please mail me to arrange this.
Preparation
Clear a space for standing and lying down poses.
Have a yoga mat or blanket to lie on while performing floor poses.
Have a blanket, socks, and layers to keep you warm while relaxing.
Have a chair, wall, or sturdy piece of furniture to help with balance.
Have an empty belly...last meal 2-4 hours before class. Experiment to see what works for you.

My intention is to continue offering these classes without requiring payment in hopes of including all who want to participate. Please be generous when you can pay and know that you are supporting me and others in the class. Thank-you.
Can't pay right now? No problem, but it is good that we have some sort of exchange to honor the value of my work and the community created by our classes. Here are two non-monetary options to contribute:
Please make a special effort to invite others to my classes. These classes are offered to help keep us all moving and building community as the pandemic evolves and resolves...and beyond.
Do good deeds in exchange for classes you take. Spread the spirit of kindness and generosity in ways that you can. Actively be kind to others. No gesture of kindness is too small...holding a door open or smiling works wonders. Create positive ways to connect with others - take a walk, play music, sing, tell stories and jokes, dance, garden, make something for someone, teach someone to read or write, call a friend or family member, be politically active and advocate - for the environment, for individuals, for societal issues you care about.
